Always aim for head, not the torso.
MP40 and Thompson are similar yet different. If you are good with both you can tell the difference.

Thompson I like much more than the Mp-40, maybe it's because I have used a M1-A1 in real life...

Want to get Akimbo Gun's really quick? Steal your teammate's pants when he is dead, if he has lvl 4 light weapons you will get them too...
Remember, this is just for one life, when you die you will loose them.

Watch higher players and learn from them. Oh, and the MP40 is faster but not as powerful as the Thompson. It isnt very noticable to people that dont play both sides very often. I often take a thompson from a dead allied soldier if I am an axis FOps.

Don't stand around while you shoot. Always keep strafing. Standing just makes it easier for others to shoot you in the head.

Hot Keys!!!

For all n00bs out there.... please hot key all your specials and weapons. Nothing is sadder than watching a medic get shot while standing over you, scrolling for the needle. You just go into the controls menu and change it to something quick for you to hit. Simple... and soooo much faster than scrolling.

Scrolling? I have never changed my key setup, all my weapons are still on the normal keys, with some good hand-to-eye-coördination it's so much fatser than scrolling...

Aye, I'm much the same as RaZieL, being that the original key setup is still intact on my ET, I've simply added a few binds on some unused keys for less common aspects of the game (playdead, killing yourself, and a sprint toggle)
You don't neccesarily need to change the key layout, just know whatever key layout that you have. Without much thought at all, I can hit 5 to pull out my needle, revive my target, then hit 3 to pull out my thompson and prepare to fight again, all without stopping running (usually)

I think Squib and ya'll have the same point...learn how to get the needle, health packs, ammo packs, etc out quickly so no one has to stand around like sitting ducks waiting for supplies. I agree with Squib that it is SO frustrating watching medics scroll, especially when you are dead/injured and waiting a revive: totally at the mercy of an incompetent medic. Not to mention the accidental grenade or airstrike that gets dropped because they happened to land on the wrong weapon. Noooooooooooooo!
Personally, while playing in the dark and on different keyboards sometimes, the number 5 and 6 keys are a bit far and I can't always get to them reliably and back to my Thompson and "movement" keys fast enough. Also, I don't trust the "lean" buttons (Q and E) because sometimes you feel like you are barely leaning around a corner and you are actually fully exposed, and vice versa. So... I bound Q to 5 and E to 6 so needle, medic packs, ammo packs, and air strike cannister are as quick as anything. Then 3 back to Thompson and boom boom boom!!!!
My personal preference and it works great.

If you are going to use a mobile mg, find a good hallway, you will become very very deadly. But make sure you are back far enough that they can't nade you without coming out into the hall to get right in the grill.

in wide open spaces dont use flames, inside buildings flames beat panzerfaust hands down
When using mortars hold 'g' to bring up the command map, it will put a target where your last shell it. This way you can accurately lay down mortar fire from anywhere on the map, but stay close to the spawn or an area full of your people so Field Ops can give you ammo

When using the panzerfaust, aim twenty feet away, you'll still get em
Oh...if you wear the name of field ops on your uniform, that means you give ammo to others. Airstrikes and artillery are cool, but your first priority is to give out ammo, especially to the medics, and you'll see it pays off in the end. Everyone loves a team player.

I am going to slowly and surely get around to writing a set of basic strats for each class. Ill start with engineers because they are the most important class to have someone who knows what they are doing to play it.
Rifle Vs SMG:
If you arent very accurate with rifle grenades or your objectives on the map are very engineer oriented (ie Allies on Fuel Dump) then choose the SMG. If you are deadly accurate with the rifle grenades or your team has almost no need for engineer energy(Axis on Fuel Dump) then the rifle is a good choice. It all boils down to my mood usually.
Command Posts are your teams best freinds. Keep yours up and let the coverts take down your enemy's unless there is a shortage of coverts.
Speaking of coverts. A uniformed Covert is probably your best freind. He can let you behind enemy defenses to blow up objectives way before the enemy team expects it. This is mostly done on Fuel Dump but is also able to be done on: Oasis, Saberpeak and Stalingrad.
Map Strats:
Radar: As allies, blow the side and keep the command post up, the command post can be used as a spawn and seriously hinder the axis defences, the main gate usually takes second priority to me but atleast one eng needs to get that door down too. As Axis keep your command post up, mines around the radars and the dynos defused. Most Engineers forget about the mg inside the small house with the health and ammo, this can be used for extra XP if you need some but can also mow down allies as they leave their spawn.
Saberpeak: As allies, keeping the boat up and running till it gets the ammo loaded is pretty much the only thing you should worry about unless a covert gets a uni or you can sneak past the axis spawn to blow the side wall. After the ammo is loaded half of the engys will probably stay on the boat and the others will go to the side. Just get to the sub, place the dyno in a hard to find place not out in the open. As axis keep mines on the ammo and the side wall. Keep the command post up. Always watch for plant messages if an allied covert and engineer sneaks into the sub bay you have to get there quick and get the dyno. Once the side wall or the front door is blown all engineers should stay in the sub room and keep the lower entrances laced with mines. This almost forces the allied engineers to come in from the top which is easily guarded by a soldier.
Fuel dump: As allies forget about the side bridge, you can get across without it and crossing it makes people a target. Concentrate on the main bridge and the tank till the tunnel grate is blown. Grenading over the wall is cheap and should make you feel cheap if you do it. If you can get an uniformed covert to the depot with you then go in secretly. If they are guarding the depot already then concentrate on the tank. Once the front door to the depot is blown half the engys can keep the tank going to the side wall while half try to assualt or get inside with a covert. As Axis keep the command post and MG tower built until the tunnel grate is blown, then change your spawn to the depot. Keep the defenses up and the inside around the dump covered in mines. It is possible to get out once all the defenses are built so dont worry if you get stuck inside. Dont forget to call for help if you need it.
That is all the maps I will do, others can post or you can figure it out on your own from here. Dont forget to keep mines up on defense and all constructable things up especially mg nests.
